  • Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has given the assurance of 31 lakh Budgeted homes to be built for middle – class in urban areas in his 2018-19 Budget.
  • It helps in providing affordable homes in urban areas to middle-income and lower-income groups.
  • The Buyer can avail credit worth anywhere between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2.30 lakh under the scheme.
  • The Buyer will get the advantage of a reduced housing loan interest rate of 6.5 percent as opposed to the market interest rate (10.5 percent).
